Come on in... Make Yourself At Home!

Hey y'all! Welcome to my home tour! I was nominated by Laura from the Suzie Lou Blog, to share my home with the readers and answer the following questions...

1) What am I working on?
2) How does my work differ from others from its genre?
3) Why do I write/create what I do?
4) How does your writing/creating process work?

So here we go:

1. What am I working on? Organizing and pairing down! THE OFFICE! This is a shared space, but also the space that gets used the most. And it is also is the catch all room for the stuff I can't find places for! We are currently trying to rid our home of all the excess junk because in the future container home, we won't have this much space, almost half, in fact.

2. How does my work differ from others from its genre? I think every one's work is different because different folks are doing it! I like to combine scripture or faith with crafts. I am currently trying to get my to-do pile down so I can start working on my paintings! I can't wait to share that with you all!

3. Why do I write/create what I do? I write what I do because it's me. I'm authentic, and I know there is no one like me in the world. Either I'm your cup of tea, or not, is completely up to you. So, I want to share my thoughts, opinions, crafts, and recipes with you!

4. How does your writing/creating process work?  Normally, I write all blog posts on one day... about 4 hours of writing, photo shopping, and editing. That way, I can just focus on commenting on other blogs and answering emails throughout the week. This process also allows me to have time to get the homemaking chores, shopping, yoga, and anything else that I can fit into the week, in without having to worry about sitting down to blog everyday.

It's been fun sharing my space with you all! And, honestly, I was going to do a good cleaning, and organizing and make everything picture perfect. But, that's just not how my home is. I wanted this to be a true representation of my favorite parts of the home, not what it's like only for photos and company! The truth is, everything has Ginny's white hair all over it, (good thing I have white couches!), there is remotes and ipads laying on arms of the sofa, the gorgeous coffee table gets $10 puzzles thrown on it for weeks at a time, it's not perfect, folks, but it's my safe haven. It's easy now, in the days of Pinterest, to feel like your home or space isn't good enough. And that's simply not true! You make your home how you want it and that's all that should matter!

Now, to the fun part! I get to nominate 3 bloggers to do their home tours the following Monday, which would be 9/22. I nominate:
Jessica from Bucktown Grayce
Charlene, From Bisons to Buckeyes
and Fin from In It for Love

You ladies have a week to photograph your favorite parts of your home, answer the questions, and post! Good luck!

  1. Love this post and your space. It looks warm and inviting. I like your routine of doing all your posts at once and simply commenting throughout the week. Some day I will have my own routine.

  2. I love the idea of doing all my weekly posts at once too, but I never get around to it. I usually do what I have to do during the day then spend the night (while my husband plays video games) to write/edit posts. I need to adopt your system!
