I guess my excuse is that we are living in such small quarters (studio condo) and I'm used to a huge kitchen, so I'm finding that I'm lazy. Also, how do you cook your summer squash (yellow squash)? I ask this because the ones that are small are actually better, in taste. My grandmother taught me that and I find it to be true.. I just thought I would throw that in. I'm a big veggie cooker and squash happens to be one of my faves! In fact, I just made a roasted butternut squash parm pasta and it's my new favorite pasta, like EVER!! :)Jamie Harthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08647695451924710359noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3039528659478552385.post-81702744411004465202013-09-09T14:48:48.187-05:002013-09-09T14:48:48.187-05:00Yes I was all my fruits and veggies even though th...Yes I was all my fruits and veggies even though they are organic. I wash in 2 cups of vinegar to a sink full of water with 4 tbsp of baking soda 1/2 cup lemon juice. I also make a spray bottle for those times when I am too lazy to soak my veggies and fruits. The recipe is 1 cup water 1 cup vinegar 1/4 lemon juice and 1tbsp baking soda. Fruits and vegetables are dirtier than we realize. They grow on the ground and are handled by countless people before they get to us. Even the ones that are organic are exposé to rodent poop lol. So I am always washing and soaking produce these days. Seems like it never ends.Charityhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12085408470703258088noreply@blogger.com
