Let's do a currently list, shall we?
Currently I am:
- Planning- out my yoga journey. I've always been in love with yoga. The feeling of quieting myself and my mind is no small task, I'll admit it. But, while going through the poses, it miraculously quiets me! I use the time to really pray, and focus on nothing! I know it sounds a little hokum, but this works for me. That being said, I always felt guilty because "Yoga isn't Christian". I've tried to research every article I could get my hands on about this, and I really believe that it is an exercise and you can choose to honor your God or just do it for the exercise. It doesn't have to be honoring someone else's god. Ya know? Just like I like to pray while washing dinner dishes, say my "Thank you" to God for the day He gave me. Doesn't mean you don't believe in my God and you have to stop washing dishes. Does that make ANY sense at all to everyone else? It does to me! So, getting back on track here, I want to practice every day for a year, at least 1 hour. After that, I can make the decision to further my journey by becoming a teacher or to keep it as my personal thing.
- Sitting- here writing this with a doggie curled up with her nose wedged between my back and the sofa cushion. HOW is this dog not suffocating? But when I move her out of fear for her life, she nestles herself right back to the same spot! I give up!
- Waiting- for my Hubs to wake up, today is his day off and I need some talking time! We are also trying to do the Love Dare book together- hey anything like this only strengthens your marriage right? Right!
- Listening- to nothing, well, actually I hear the birds chirping outside my window, the fish tank gurgling, Ginny now up and grunting to get a more comfy spot, and my coo coo clock ticking away.
- Smelling- My pumpkin spice candle. I warned y'all, I'm obsessed with pumpkins.
- Feeling- a little allergy trouble. We did buy the Furmanator brush from PetSmart for Ginny. That thing pulled out a grocery bag full of hair! Hopefully this nonsense stops soon!
- Quoting- "Be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid of them; for the LORD your God, He is the One who goes with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you." Deuteronomy 31:6 Such a strong message! Don't be of puny courage, be of GOOD courage! Weaklings need not apply! :)
I hope you have a fabulous Monday! What are y'all currently doing? I'd LOVE to hear! Comment below!
Love all this! Especially about smelling like a pumpkin. I do have to say I was convicted in some of the same ways about yoga! I thought I could pray during it and be okay but I just uncovered so much and didn't have peace. I really enjoyed it. But I say if you have no ill feelings about it go for it.
