In the process of getting green!

Due to my Endometriosis and Fibromyalgia, my body is wracked with widespread musculoskeletal pain and stiffness. and because of that, my doctors put me on some pretty heavy hitter medications, this is daily and then weekly meds I take, below-
From taking those little beauties up there, my liver is taking a beating. Every 3 months, I get a liver enzyme test done to make sure it's not jumping up to crazy levels. Right now, we have a steady increase, so that's okay. Apparently, there is an acceptable amount your liver can get to before you have to start changing your meds or some sort of liver detox. Honestly- I don't know what happens when I get to that level, but anyway, the docs say the best thing I can do to help my liver is clean up my life. I have to try to eat healthy and mostly organic, use less harmful chemicals- and use gloves because did you know your skin absorbs 80% of what you put on it? Yeah, pretty crazy! I use the ewg.com/skindeep website to check all my products, and decided to toss the bad ones and began to research good, healthy products.

Which leads me to today's post, healthy makeup! I have spent hours upon hours researching how to swap out my favorite beauty products and body care to a more green, less cancerous chemical types of products. This is what I checked out, and the ingredients were too harmful, in my opinion... so in the garbage they go!

Enter 100% Pure! (Now, please know I am not affiliated with 100% Pure, and I purchased these products with my own money.)

I stumbled upon this makeup from Hope Engaged's website. I checked into them, and decided I needed to make the trek out to the Woodfield mall where they have a store! I needed to see the colors, do test swatches to see which ones I loved, I even wrote them down in my phone and took a couple of photos. This store was AMAZINGGGGGGG!  I spent a good hour there and the store associate was so sweet and nice! She gave me great info about the products, what was coming soon and what was being discontinued. Check out the photos of this awesome place! And scroll down to see what I purchased!

Lookie all those testers!

That is my experience with 100% pure. I think I'm going to be sticking with this company for a long while!

  3. I've switched all my cleaning and household products to either Young Living or the Honest Company. I also have endometriosis and fibromyalgia (although I haven't gotten to the point where the pain is bad enough for me to be on meds...it mostly just feels like my back, butt and legs are one big bruise). I'm waiting for it to arrive in the mail today, but a friend of mine said Young Living's sulfurzyme was a huge help for her fibro pain. If you want more info on the company, I'm happy to pass it long.
