A little coffee and a little update

Hi everyone! This morning, I'm sitting in my own living room, drinking coffee like it's going out of style! While doing that, I need to update y'all about the semi-silence on the blog lately. For the last 10 days, I was in Bayou Country A.K.A. South Louisiana, visiting my family. I had a BLAST and ate way too much awesome Cajun food! It was a much needed family time and I loved every minute!

Arriving back to Chicago-land last night at 9pm, Husband scooped me up from the airport and brought me home, where I proceeded to jump straight in the bed and have a good nights sleep! Nothing beats your own bed, am I right?

This morning, I find myself unpacking my suitcase and then packing it back up so we can head to Lake Geneva, Wisconsin to our first wedding anniversary getaway in a few hours! I am so excited to be spending 4 uninterrupted days with the love of my life just relaxing, enjoying each other's company and exploring the cute little city! Don't worry, I plan on taking LOADS of pictures, including a recreation of the picture below with our hands! (Can't remember where I found this picture to give proper credit, if you guys know, please let me know so I can link back to them!)

I have much to tell you guys when I return, so be ready for multiple posts and picture dumps towards the end of the week. Also, my Cara Box arrived and my sweet sweet partner, Amanda @ SpeculatingJokebird that was paired with me really went above and beyond with my gifts! She totally got me! So that will be coming up Thursday/Friday-ish. I can't wait to update you guys more and catch up!
